I chose to do I Love Lucy because I loved her when I was younger.

Annie's Organic Sketches

First are some sketches of different bunnies that I think are way cuter than the ugly annie's organic bunny.  Then I also posted a few sketches of different packaging ideas that might make kids want to buy the pasta over their current boring box.  I would also like to possibly add little bunny stories and adventure books on or in the package, and maybe a little bunny toy...

Good and Bad packaging

 I love TheBalm makeup line.  All their products are hilarious and cute.  The saying such as Time Balm for concealer, 

Shady Lady for eye shadow, Read my Lips, lipstick, Stainiac for lip stain etc.  I love the old hollywood look of the line and it makes you want to collect it all.

These are FUNNY... I loved them.  It looks hot just from the label.

I loved this gum when it came out.  Think it's sleek and makes gum look "cool" haha.  Neat design on the inside of the package, the gum wrappers match the flavor.  I think it works.

Nutella is the BOMB.. but their packaging is not.  It's too old school and doesn't make it look as good as it really is.  It needs something else.  I like old school stuff, but this drawing just doesn't do it for me.

I think this baking butter package is the most boring thing ever.  I know it's not a fancy schmancy butter and used for baking, but it is really lame.

WHAAT... who would buy something that says Dry Salami Nuggets haha.  People in cocktail attire on the front of a salami nugget package.  And the nuggets look gross, they would be better off not having a clear bag for it.  No like.

I was going for serious themes and artsy stuff but I'm so bored with all that so I wanted to do Darth Vader because that is the most random thing I could think of, and for some reason I think he's hilarious.  So I'm not sure if this theme is gonna work but I thought I'd give it a try there's only about a million pictures of Darth so I figured why not.  Lemme know.

This jacked up ALL my colors I have no idea why I'm hoping it will post better then it looks right now.

crappy changes

The changes I've made are minimal.. I was messing around with the fonts and don't have a clue what to use, and need to rasterize the design but didn't like any of my outcomes so I'm leaving it for now... as for an ad I don't have a clue.. maybe something like we can make anything look good and have a picture of something before and after... no idea.

Last Tues panel discussion

I went to the panel discussion and thought that everyone did a really good job.  This blog is a little Debby Downer... Dominick and Max talked a little too long but Max was a funny guy.  I don't know... after classes straight through 8-5 the fact that panel discussion went on till 10pm killed me.  I wish there was a way to speed all that stuff up, I don't really think food is necessary even though it is nice, it takes up an extra hour or so and the room was freezing so that didn't help.  My friends and I just wanted to leave and sit next to a heater.  I don't know, hearing that I will be making less money then I do now, if I get a graphic design job, is pushing me more and more towards not doing anything in this field.  They seemed to love their jobs but I wouldn't be happy doing what they are doing.  I know there is more to graphic design then the jobs that they are doing, but I think overall it scared me once I left into really re-thinking graphic design.  I'm not sure I have the dedication it takes to want to play with NeoPets or whatever Dominick does all day... this semester in general has messed up me being confident that this is in fact what I want to do, and I don't think that going to the panel discussion helped.

I've never set up stationary stuff before so I know it's not a pretty layout by any means, but at least it's all there!

Final Logo

I ended up changing my location to New Orleans.  I love the Fleur de li and thought that it went best with that location since it's all you see when you go to New Orleans.  Figured by 2016 they'd be ready to hold the Olympics and build the state back up.  Let me know what you think of my final design.

Here are a few logos for Scotland... although since I stuck with a Fleur de li, even though it was used in much of the designs for Scotland, I wonder if it looks like more of a French design.  Not sure about the fonts they are sort of plain, but legible, so I don't know.
